Locker Group’s Gripspan Planking is a safety conscious flooring system offering significant benefits over traditional flooring products. Available in standard or serrated tread and slotted profiles it's anti-slip surface guards against falls and trips in work and storage areas, on mezzanines and access walkways: anywhere safety is a must.

Gripspan is roll formed, therefore it can be provided in any transportable length, minimising rivets or welded joints to hamper its strength. Its extensive load carrying capacity means it can handle long spans reducing the requirement for support framework and minimising installation times.

Unlike many flooring options Gripspan meets the updated requirements of AS1657, whereby any flooring that people may access underneath, must be able to prevent the fall of small objects, up to the size of a 15mm ball.

Uses of Gripspan include;
  • Roof Access Walkways
  • Plant Platforms
  • Mezzanine Floors
  • Storage Areas
  • Stair Treads
  • Sale Yard Walkways
Manufactured from steel or aluminium, Gripspan’s open design means its maintenance free – and its light weight planks are easily handled by two people.

Put safety, strength and cost-effectiveness first.

Gripspan Summit Kits

Have you provided safe access points for employees or subcontractors to access your roof?

Australian Standards not only require 600mm wide roof walkway to any point where access is required, AS 1657 now recommends that roof access points provide a secure 2 metre entry from the roof edge; a guardrail system and self closing gate. Summit kits provide this secure entry, with everything required to protect your employees and your business.

If someone is ascending a ladder or via mechanical lift they need secure entry (preferably with a gate that revents a fall back once they've stepped onto the roof). In addition the first 2 metres from the roof edge should be protected with hand and knee rails, to ensure safe ingress onto the central surface area.
